🎉 Congratulations to Kevin Tabor – October’s “Above and Beyond Award” Winner! 🎉

We are proud to recognize Kevin Tabor as our October recipient of the Above and Beyond Award!

A resident of North Tazewell, Virginia, Kevin has been an essential part of the Kidd Tire Auto Parts team in Tazewell for 22 years. What began as a dream to become a mechanic evolved into a fulfilling career in parts sales—one that led him to his current role as Parts Manager.

Kevin takes great pride in helping others and serving his community, bringing a strong sense of purpose and professionalism to everything he does. Guided daily by his faith, Kevin shares that the best part of his job is working with customers and ensuring they receive the support they need.

He credits his father, his lifelong hero, for inspiring his career path, and he remains close to both his mother and brother. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys woodworking, a hands-on hobby that highlights his creativity and craftsmanship.

Kevin was nominated by a longtime customer who shared that Kevin is “always friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about his work.” He went on to praise Kevin’s professionalism and positive attitude, which stand out every time he visits the store.

👏 Please join us in celebrating Kevin Tabor for consistently going "above and beyond"—every single day. Thank you, Kevin, for your outstanding service, dedication, and impact on your community!

Garnett Hubbard is the first recipient of the Above & Beyond award. Originally from Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Garnett Hubbard has dedicated 25 years to working in the school system. Currently serving as the janitor at TCCTC, he takes pride in ensuring students have what they need to succeed. "Doing stuff for the kids and making sure they get what they need" is what he enjoys most about his work.

In addition to his role at the school, Garnett also works at a carwash, a shopping center, and manages various commercial and rental properties. His strong work ethic is rooted in his upbringing—he grew up in a deeply religious family and attended a Christian academy, values which continue to guide his life today.

Outside of work, Garnett enjoys hands-on hobbies such as woodworking and working on vehicles. He finds motivation in having a purpose each day and doing what he loves.
