All Tazewell County Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, through Friday, November 28, 2025, for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on Monday, December 1st.

Students in Mrs. Woodard’s English classes at TCCTC recently submitted their original short stories to Young Writers for consideration in a national writing contest — and we are thrilled to share that EVERY single submission from our school was selected for publication!
📖 Their stories will be featured in a Young Writers anthology set to print in February. Permission forms will be coming home soon for parental consent.In their acceptance letter, Young Writers noted that having all student submissions chosen is a rare accomplishment and certainly something to be proud of.🎉



A huge congratulations to Lillian Wimmer and Jillian Crisp. Lillian was chosen to serve as Secretary for the state JAGCA offices and Jillian Crisp was chosen to serve as a delegate. They are both featured in this month’s JVG newsletter. Way to go, Lillian and Jillian!

Tazewell County's Special Education Advisory Committee will meet on November 19th at 1 p.m. at the TCCTC Student Center.

TCCTC faculty and staff proudly wore red today to take a stand against drugs and support Red Ribbon Week!

TCCTC Criminal Justice students had the opportunity to visit Radford University for an engaging, hands-on learning experience. Students toured the university’s forensic lab, participated in the use-of-force simulator, learned about crime analysis, and took part in mock courtroom scenarios. They also had the chance to meet with Radford’s admissions team to explore future educational opportunities.

At tonight’s school board meeting, Richlands High School student Tyler Howard was recognized alongside his masonry instructor, Mr. Robert Steele.
